Background
Darren Hardy is an established personal development and business brand with a large audience and a long-running marketing operation. The team runs regular campaigns across opt-ins and promotional funnels using a consistent direct response model.
I worked with the Darren Hardy team as a contract designer, supporting funnel and landing page builds on a project-by-project basis. I collaborated primarily with the CMO and community manager and joined planning calls to stay aligned with upcoming campaigns.
The challenge
This role sat within a clearly defined system.
The marketing strategy, offer structure, and copy direction were already in place. The priority was execution within existing processes and timelines, rather than exploration or experimentation.
My challenge was to design pages that fit into this framework, supported the team’s goals, and could be delivered efficiently under tight deadlines.
The approach
I focused on clear, reliable execution.
I designed landing pages and funnels for opt-ins and promotional flows, working from detailed briefs. My attention was on layout, hierarchy, and readability so information was easy to scan and understand.
Where appropriate, I shared suggestions related to visual consistency and clarity, while remaining aligned with the established direction. All designs were created in Figma and handed off for implementation in HubSpot, which required designing with platform constraints in mind.
Results
The pages were delivered on schedule and integrated into the wider marketing system.
Within the scope of the role, the work supported campaign execution by improving conversions, brand recognition, structure and readability across individual pages.
Personal insight
This project provided insight into how established teams operate within defined systems.
It highlighted the importance of clear briefs, efficient communication, and designing within constraints. It also reinforced the value of adaptability when working across different business models and marketing approaches.
